MG Comet EV Latest Update

Latest Update: MG has unveiled the exterior design of the Comet EV and its launch date has also been confirmed. We have detailed the ultra compact EV’s exterior, interior and colours options. The range and specifications of the MG Comet EV have been leaked online ahead of its debut.

Price: It is expected to be priced from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Colours: It will be available in two dual-tone and three monotone paint options: Apple Green with Starry Black, Candy White and Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Candy White and Starry Black.

Seating Capacity: It can accommodate up to four people.

Battery Pack and Range: As per the leaked specifications, the Comet EV will come with a 17.3kWh battery pack which offers a range of up to 230 km. Its electric motor is rated to produce 42PS and 110Nm. Talking about its charging time, it takes up to seven hours to rejuvenate the battery using a 3.3kW charger.

Features: MG’s ultra compact EV will boast LED headlamps and tail lamps, integrated digital screen setup (10.25-inch unit each for infotainment and instrumentation) with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and over 55 connected car features. It also gets a gear selector knob, and keyless entry. 

Safety: Its safety package is expected to include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, hill start assist, electronic stability control (ESC) and a rear parking camera.

Rivals: The Comet EV will not have any direct rivals but it will take on the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
