TataAltroz CNG

Tata has in recent months expanded its portfolio in India into alternative fuels including electric and CNG. While plans for an electric Altroz are still up in the air, the carmaker will be launching a CNG-powered model much sooner. The Altroz CNG will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the standard model though it will develop a lower 76 bhp and 97 Nm when burning CNG. The Altroz CNG will also benefit from some clever packaging with Tata set to move away from a single CNG tank to a pair of tanks sitting below the boot floor thus freeing up storage space. The Altroz CNG was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and received some notable feature enhancements such as 6 airbags and a sunroof.
