Latest On Maruti Fronx

Last Updated on 24th Apr’23: Maruti has launched the Fronx from Rs 7.46 lakh onwards. There are two engine options on offer with automatic being offered in both. The manual non-turbo range starts at Rs 7.46, automatic non-turbo at Rs 8.87 lakh, manual turbo at Rs 9.7 lakh and automatic turbo at Rs 12.05 lakh. While the non turbo range is good value, we feel the turbo Fronx has been priced at the higher end.

Performance:The Fronx gets two engine options i.e. a K-Series 1.2 Litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a 5 speed manual or 5 speed amt gearbox, and a 1 Litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine mated to a 5 speed manual or 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The NA generates 89PS power and 113Nm torque, the boosterjet turbo engine generates 100PS power and 147Nm torque.

Fuel Economy: The Fronx, like most Maruti models, is an extremely fuel efficient car. The ARAI mileage of the Fronx is over 20 kmpl for every engine – transmission type. The 1.2 non turbo offers 21.79 kmpl for the MT gearbox and 22.89 kmpl for the AMT one. The 1.0 turbo on the other hand returns 20.01 kmpl for the AT and 21.5 kmp for the MT gearbox – all these figures are as per ARAI certification.
