Mahindra Scorpio N Highlights

The carmaker promotes the Mahindra Scorpio-N as a package of unmissable design, advanced technology, and thrilling performance. It has been loaded with more premium features than the earlier one, to make it a better version of the Scorpio series. As it is marketed as the Big Daddy of all SUVs, let’s have a look at its make and model.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Engine and Other Specifications

This SUV, from the Mahindra, has been launched with two types of engine; 2.2L I4 mHawk 130 engine for diesel-fuelled variants and 2.0L I4 mStallion 150 TGDi engine for the petrol-fuelled models. The engine incorporates four inline cylinders with four valves per cylinder fitted on a dual overhead camshaft. In petrol variants, the maximum power generated by the engine is 200bhp at 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 380 Nm at 1750 rpm. Talking about the diesel models of Scorpio-N, their engines produce a maximum power of 172 bhp at 3500 rpm and maximum torque of 370 Nm at 1500 rpm. The ARAI claimed mileage of the vehicle is 14km/l and the fuel tank capacity is 57 litres.

The suspension setup of this SUV includes front double wishbone suspension with coil-over shocks with FDD & MTV-CL, Penta link rear suspension with WATT’s linkage with FDD & MTV-CL, 255 mm (width) alloy wheels with radial tubeless tyres, and ventilated front and rear disc brakes.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Exterior

The exterior of this car flaunts a chrome talon grille, LED projector fog lamps, signature dual barrel headlamps, signature metallic Scorpio-tail element, Tall stacked LED tail lamps, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Scorpio-N car also features electrically adjustable exterior rear-view mirrors with turn indicators, an integrated antenna, LED exterior lights, rain sensing wiper, and a rear window washer and defogger.

The dual-tone rich coffee-black leatherette cabin includes an intuitive infotainment system with AdrenoX connect, a leatherette electric steering wheel with a tilt column, a leather-wrapped gear shifter, a four-way electrically adjustable driver seat, six-way manually adjustable co-driver seat, glove compartment with the cooling facility, digital clock, air conditioner with heater, two-zone automatic climate control, 12V power socket, rear reading lamp, rear AC vents, and front and rear USB charger.

The Scorpio-N interior also encompasses an integrated 2DIN audio system with twelve speakers distributed in all three rows, a wireless phone charging feature, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, it has cruise control, seat lumber support, a navigation system, and 4XPLOR terrain mode to tailor traction for different terrain areas.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Safety Features

This SUV is built on a high-strength steel platform and has scored a five-star Global NCAP rating for the safety of adult occupants and three stars for the safety of child occupants. In addition, it has a drowsiness detention feature that detects the drowsiness of the driver and alerts him through a vibration on the steering. Scorpio-N features also comprise an electronic stability control suite that helps sustain the control during steep turns and high-precise braking. Apart from these, it has ABS with EBD, power door locks, child safety locks, rear seat belts, rear camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill descent control, and six airbags to ensure protection from the front, side, and curtain side to ensure the occupants’ safety.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Price and Variants

This Mahindra SUV comes in twenty-five variants differentiated based on fuel-type compatibility and a few features.
