The Harley-Davidson X440 takes its design cues from the bigger XR1200R Sportster. It’s seen sporting all-LED lighting and a minimalist TFT instrument cluster. It’s unclear if it will get Bluetooth connectivity. The H-D X440 will be powered by an all-new 440cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor (with an oil cooler) which isn’t related to the recently launched (in the Chinese market) X 350 or the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.

Suspension bits include a USD fork and twin preload-adjustable gas-charged shocks. Braking will be managed by single discs at either end with Bybre calipers and dual-channel ABS likely as standard. The front rotor appears to be a 320mm unit. It’s also seen riding on machined alloy wheels – 18-inch front and 17-inch rear – wrapped in new MRF Zapper Hyke tyres.

The most affordable Harley will be launched on July 3, 2023, at an expected ex-showroom price of around Rs 2.5-2.7 lakh . The Harley X440 will compete with the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 450, and the Triumph Bajaj 350 bike.
