Kia EV6 Car Latest Updates

Kia has reopened the bookings for the EV6 electric vehicles from April 15, 2023. The first 200 buyers of the next batch of EVs will get special benefits such as five-years of free maintenance and eight-year battery warranty.

The carmaker has expanded its EV6 dealer network to 60 outlets across 44 cities in India. In addition, it will also make high-speed public chargers available at each of these locations.

The EV6 currently costs Rs 60.95 lakh onwards (ex-showroom), around Rs 16 lakh higher than the Ioniq 5.

The EV6 gets two powertrain options, both of which are fed using a 77.4kWh battery pack. The rear-wheel drive unit is paired to a single electric motor producing 229PS and 350Nm, while the all-wheel drivetrain gets dual electric motors with an output of 325PS and 605Nm. The EV supports fast charging which can juice up the batteries from 10 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes. The rear-wheel drive setup has a WLTP claimed range of 528km, while the all-wheel drivetrain is good for 505km on a single charge.

Key Features of Kia EV6

The EV6 gets a host of equipment onboard including an integrated 12-inch instrument cluster, a 12-inch infotainment system, dual zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats and a panoramic sunroof. Its safety features include eight airbags and a bunch of ADAS systems like automatic emergency braking, blind spot deduction, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. It also works as a portable power house as it can power up certain appliances.

It rivals the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
