Model launch date:
The second-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC is expected to be launched in India by August 2023.
Feature list:
In the design department, the new GLC will get a revised fascia that includes new LED headlamps, a new grille with a single chrome slat, tweaked front and rear bumpers, sleeker LED tail lights with new graphics, and a set of new dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the model will get feature updates in the form of a new 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and the latest MBUX software.
Engine, performance, and specifications:
The 2023 GLC could be powered by the same powertrains as the outgoing model. These currently include a 2.0-litre petrol engine developing 197bhp and 320Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine belting out 168bhp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to be limited to a nine-speed automatic unit.
Variants:
The new-gen GLC is likely to be offered in two variants: 200 and 220d.
Safety:
The new GLC has not been tested by an NCAP body yet.
Competition:
The 2023 GLC will compete against the BMW X3, Audi Q3, and Volvo XC60.
