Ola S1 Pro Bike Latest Updates

With recent revisions in the FAME 2 subsidy, Ola electric has given its S1 lineup a major price hike. Click here to know the details. Ola Electric has also teased two snazzy new shades for the S1 e-scooter range. 

The Ola S1 Pro is powered by a mid-drive electric motor which is frame mounted and the company claims that it can achieve 0-40kmph in just 2.9 seconds. It comes with a 4kWh battery pack which is IP55/67 rated.

Ola S1 Pro Engine

The Ola S1 Pro is powered by a mid-drive IPM motor that gives a nominal output of 5.5kW and a peak output of 8.5kW. The drivetrain draws power from a 4kWh battery pack that takes approximately 6.5 hours to fully charge and is capable of offering a claimed true-range of up to 170km in Eco mode and 135km in Normal mode. The e-scooter is built on a tubular frame which is suspended by a single-arm front fork and a monoshock unit at the rear. Braking is looked after by a 220mm disc up front and a 180mm disc at the rear, with standard CBS. It rolls on alloy wheels which are wrapped in tubeless tyres. The S1 pro weighs 125kg (kerb) and comes with a seat height of 792mm, along with 165mm ground clearance.

The S1 Pro is offered in a single variant and comes in 12 colourways: Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Marshmellow, Anthracite Grey, Liquid Silver, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, Matt Black, Khaki, Millennial Pink, Gerua and Porcelain White.

Ola S1 Pro comes fitted with dual LED headlights, which look pretty compact. It goes well with the overall fluidic design that looks quite European with single-tone body panels and alloy wheels. There’s an inclusion of a grab-rail, side steps and it has sculpted seating adding to pillion’s comfort.

Key Features of Ola S1 Pro

Ola S1 Pro boasts features like a full-LED lighting setup, a 7-inch TFT display that is touch enabled and supports Smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth and has WiFi/LTE and GPS support. Other notable features include side-stand down and anti-theft alerts, geo-fencing, reverse mode, Get Home mode, Take Me Home lights and a Limp Home mode. The MoveOS 3.0 OTA update adds features like three ride moods (Bolt, Vintage and Eclipse), vacation mode (which conserves battery over a long period of no-use), proximity unlock, faux motor sounds, hill hold, three levels of regenerative braking, Hypercharging (which gives 50km worth of range with just 15 minutes of charging), Bluetooth calling and even key sharing.

Ola S1 Pro Competitors

The Ola S1 Pro rivals the likes of the Ather 450X, Simple One, and the upcoming TVS iQube ST. In a similar price bracket, you could also purchase the Apache RTR 160, Revolt RV400 or the Pulsar NS160.
