Lamborghini Urus Car Latest Updates

Lamborghini has launched the Urus S in India at Rs 4.18 crore (ex-showroom). It gets the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine tuned for 666PS and 850Nm, the same as the more-hardcore Performante variant. It gets slight styling updates to the bonnet, bumper, grille and the alloys.

While the new Urus S offers a more lifestyle oriented package, the Performante’s is more dynamic thanks to better aerodynamics. The price difference between the two is just Rs 4 lakh with the Urus S being the more affordable of the two.

Lamborghini Urus Engine

The Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin turbo, petrol engine that makes 641PS and 850Nm. Power is transferred to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic. Lamborghini claims a 0-100 time of just 3.6 seconds. That’s not much slower than even the Huracan and very impressive for a 2.2 ton SUV.

Key Features of Lamborghini Urus

It’s a lot more than just a hopped up Huracan as some internet comments will lead you to believe. The face, tail and even the sides are choc-a-bloc with sharp edges and creases and the production version is actually more aggressively styled than the concept.

The interiors of the Urus are stunning to say the least with mix of Hexagons and Octagons jumping out at you. After climbing in and sitting down in this tall SUV you are greeted with a modern cockpit styled layout. This is further emphasized by the gear/drive mode console selector which is designed like the throttle of an aircraft. Even though when you break down the parts into bits you will find a lot borrowed from Audi’s sedan range the Lambo cabin still manages to deliver the drama which starts from the moment when you reach for the start flip open the red cover and thumb the starter.

Lamborghini Urus Competitors

The Urus locks horns with the Audi RSQ8, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and the BMW X5 M.
