The TVS Raider 125 is a premium 125cc motorcycle produced by the Hosur-based manufacturer. It stands out with its array of modern features, including riding modes, which position it as a premium choice within the 125cc segment. Price:

The TVS Raider 125 is available in three different variants. The base model, featuring a single-piece seat, is offered in Striking Red or Wicked Black and is priced at Rs 95,219. The mid-range variant, equipped with a split seat, is offered in four color choices (Fiery Yellow, Blazing Blue, Striking Red, and Wicked Black) at a cost of Rs 96,219. The new SuperSquad Edition comes in Black Panther or Iron Man-themed liveries, priced at Rs 98,919. The top-tier SX variant, which boasts Bluetooth/SmartXonnect compatibility, is presented in two color schemes (Fiery Yellow and Wicked Black) and carries a price tag of Rs 1,01,570 (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi).

Features:

The TVS Raider 125 showcases an array of distinctive features. The base, mid-tier and SuperSquad Edition models come with an inverted multi-color LCD instrument console. This console provides real-time data such as mileage, fuel range, gear position indicators, helmet reminders, tripmeters (including a reserve-specific one), odometer, clock, fuel gauge, and even a top speed/average speed tracker. On the other hand, the top-end SX variant gets a five-inch TFT display that offers Bluetooth connectivity and voice assistance. This console includes turn-by-turn navigation, petrol pump locations, weather updates, music control, call/message notifications, and cricket scores.

Across all variants, the motorcycle sports an LED headlight, Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and LED tail light, along with halogen indicators. The TVS Raider 125 also includes a USB port, combined braking system (CBS), and an underseat storage compartment suitable for holding a smartphone or small items.

Engine:

Powering the TVS Raider 125 is a single-cylinder 124.8cc air-cooled engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This powertrain generates 11.38PS of power and 11.2Nm of torque. The engine integrates an internal oil cooler for effective heat management. It features two riding modes—Eco and Sport—as well as a silent starter and an idling stop-start system for improved mileage during urban commuting.

Suspension and Brakes:

The TVS Raider 125 employs a telescopic fork upfront and a five-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking responsibilities are handled by a 240mm petal disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels equipped with TVS Remora tires: an 80-section front tire and a 100-section rear tire. With a kerb weight of 123kg and a ground clearance of 180mm, the Raider offers a well-balanced package.

Rivals:

The TVS Raider 125 faces competition from models like the Honda SP 125, Hero Glamour Xtec, Keeway SR125, and premium alternatives like the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. In the same price range, potential buyers might also consider the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Honda Dio 125.
