Suzuki GSX-8S Summary

Suzuki GSX-8S is expected to launch in India in November 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 10,00,000 to ₹ 11,00,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to GSX-8S are Kawasaki KX450, Kawasaki KLX450R & Kawasaki KX250. Another bike similar to GSX-8S is Honda CB750 Hornet which is launching in February 2024 in India.

The GSX-8S is Suzuki’s new addition to the world of roadsters. This motorcycle is built around a brand-new platform and first made its public debut at the 2022 EICMA show held in Italy.

The GSX-8S sports a radical design language and features a stacked LED assembly for the headlamp. It also gets sharp tank shrouds, a muscular fuel tank, and an aluminium swingarm with an exposed frame and sub-frame for a raw look. Overall, it does draw similarities from its bigger sibling- the GSX-S1000.

The GSX-8S gets a 776cc parallel-twin motor with a 270-degree crank capable of generating 81.7bhp and 77.6Nm. This is in the ballpark of its rivals, the Yamaha MT-07 and the Kawasaki Z650. As for tech, the GSX-8S gets the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System that consists of the ride-by-wire electronic throttle, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector with three different output modes, a three-level traction control system, ABS, and a bidirectional quickshifter as well. It also gets the Suzuki Easy Start and low RPM assist system for smoother city rides. That said, the Suzuki GSX-8S also features full-LED lighting and a five-inch colour TFT LCD.

The GSX-8S is likely to come to India in the next few months, but at a price point that would make it more expensive than some of its Japanese rivals, like the Kawasaki Z900.
