What features are available in the MG Hector?

Exterior:

The exterior looks fresh owing to the massive chrome grille, restyled tail lamps with blade-like elements, bold Hector badging across the boot lid, and a new paint shade called Dune Brown. 

Interior:

Inside the updated cabin, white, black, and chrome elements now adorn the dashboard and doors. A new 14-inch touchscreen also makes its way in, complete with a refreshed interface, new controls, and features. Additionally, it gets a Level 2 ADAS suite with features such as automatic emergency braking (pedestrian also), adaptive cruise control, bend cruise assistance, and forward collision warning. There’s also intelligent headlamp control, intelligent hydraulic braking assistance, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, safe distance warning, and traffic jam assist.

What are the engine, performance, and specifications of the MG Hector?

The new Hector continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 141bhp and 250Nm and uses the services of a six-speed manual and a CVT. On the other hand, the diesel unit includes a 2.0-litre motor, which makes 168bhp and 350Nm and is offered only with a six-speed manual gearbox. All these powertrains are BS6 Phase 2-compliant. What needs a special note is that a majority of the ADAS functions are not available for the diesel versions.

Is the MG Hector a safe car?
