Love them or hate them, the vast and imposing kidney grilles were introduced in the 2021 re-design. While controversial at launch, people have now had time to get used to the radical change. What cannot be challenged, is that of the three competitors, the BMW M4 looks the freshest.

The Audi RS5 is now looking long in the tooth, having sported essentially the same design since its 2017 launch. Admittedly, a facelifted version was released in 2019, but only minor alterations were made, such as 40mm widened wheel arches. Similarly, the C63 now in its 4th generation is merely a facelifted version of a car also first released back in 2017.
