Bajaj Chetak electric scooter launched in Dehradun

Bajaj Auto continues to expand the availability of the Chetak electric scooter and the Pune-based manufacturer has now launched the product in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The Chetak will be sold in a single variant – Premium – and four colours – Brooklyn Black, Hazel Nut, Indigo Metallic, and Velluto Rosso. All colour options are priced at Rs 151,769 (ex-showroom).

The online bookings for the Chetak are open and interested buyers can reserve a unit of the electric scooter by paying Rs 2,000. The vehicle will be sold via the KTM Showroom, Mohebewala.

This electric scooter uses a 3.8kW electric motor that draws power from a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. The top speed is rated at 70kmph while the claimed range stands at 90km (in Eco mode). The charging time stands at five hours and the battery pack is backed by a 50,000km/three year warranty.

In more updates, the Chetak recently received a price hike in the Indian market. For reference, the electric scooter is now available at Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom) in Pune, making it Rs 12,749 more expensive than before.
