Suzuki recently displayed the Katana in India at the 2020 Auto Expo. We bring to you details of the motorcycle through this image gallery.

Suzuki Katana Headlamps
The Katana’s name as well as its distinctive styling has been inspired from the 1981 model. It gets a square headlamp, nose fairing and a short black windscreen that completes the look.

Suzuki Katana Fuel Tank
It sports sharp lines and creases that boost its modern appeal. And to keep it in tune with the original bike, Suzuki has adorned the Katana with the same red lettering and logo on the 12-litre fuel tank.

Suzuki Katana Brakes
Nevertheless, the bike gets full LED lighting for its headlamp and a split LED-tail lamp setup. Suzuki has also equipped the bike with an LCD instrument cluster, three-mode traction control system, ABS and slipper clutch as standard.

Suzuki Katana Engine
Powering the Katana uses a 999cc, inline-four cylinder engine from the GSX-S1000 which puts out 150bhp and 108Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Suzuki Katana Front Forks
In terms of cycle parts, the Suzuki Katana bike rides on 43mm KYB inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear while the braking setup has been sourced from Brembo.

Suzuki Katana left rear three quarter
Suzuki could launch the Katana in India sometime this year depending on the response it receives. Nevertheless, when it arrives we expect it to cost around Rs 10 lakhs- Rs 11 lakhs and compete against the Kawasaki Z900 in the country.
