2023 Ducati Panigale V4 to get software updates

With its 2022 range of motorcycles, Ducati introduced some notable updates including mechanical and software. Now, the Italian marquee aims to update its flagship supersport, the Panigale V4, on the software front for 2023.

The bike will likely be updated with a new Engine Brake Control Evo 2 software for 2023. This will tweak its engine braking intensity as per the three different modes. With this update, the EBC EVO2 system will apply optimum engine braking but the intensity gradually increases (in tandem with the braking) to help you take sharper lines around the corners.

Elsewhere, the quickshifter setting will also be altered for smooth shifts. On the outgoing system, the DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) cuts the ignition during part throttle to allow the next gear to engage. Meanwhile, the updated system will change the ignition time for seamless shifting and fewer jerks while the drive is being retained.

Ducati could also tweak the engine cooling system with the fan’s programming for better heat dissipation. Ducati is also re-calibrating the traction control system for better lean angles and drive out of the corner with the help of a revised ride-by-wire system.

Lastly, since the updates are limited to the software, the existing Panigale V4s will also be eligible for it.
