In its latest social media posts, Ducati has revealed new details about the MotoE V21L race bike. The model is still in its prototype form and is under vigorous testing before it makes its way to the pits of the MotoE race. Let’s take a look at all its technical details.

The design was revealed back in April but the new images give a better perspective of the electric race bike. It appears to carry similar and purposeful bodywork to the MotoGP rig. However, the front end looks similar to the road-legal Panigale V4.

Underneath the aerodynamic bodywork is the 18kWh battery (with carbon fibre casing) that tips the weight scale at 110kg. It’s located diagonally in the front aluminium monocoque. For reference, the MotoE V21L weighs 225kg. So, the battery pack holds almost half of the total weight and acts as a stressed member.

The max power output is limited to 110kW with a maximum torque of 140Nm. And the top speed is capped at 275kmph. The battery is mated to a 21kg motor that can spin up to 18,000rpm. Right behind the motor and inverter is the carbon fibre rear subframe. And below the assembly is the aluminium swingarm.

Ducati will be the official supplier for the MotoE race bikes from next year and will have at least 18 of the same bikes on the grid.
