The spotted Bajaj test mule could be called Pulsar N125, gets skinny tyres, underbelly exhaust, and a long swing arm

For the first time, a new smaller Bajaj Pulsar N bike has been spotted on test fully camouflaged and it could be the upcoming Pulsar N125. When launched, it will take on the successful TVS Raider. The test mule was snapped by MotorBeamer Bhargavz Mhatre.

Bajaj is currently on a portfolio revamp wherein all the older Pulsars including the NS series are either discontinued or sidelined to pave way for the new N series. Already the company has launched the Pulsar N250 and N160 in the higher end of the spectrum.

The Pulsar maker is so confident about the N series that it even discontinued to the popular Pulsar 220 and 180. It might also pull the plug on the NS160 and NS125 any time soon. But, despite these bold moves, the N series’ sales haven’t picked up pace.

So, the upcoming N125 could be the third attempt by Bajaj to push the N branding to the masses. Many design elements on the test mule resemble the N160 and N250 including the cluster, LED tail light, body panels, tank shrouds, and the underbelly exhaust.

But, the skinny tyres, thin box-section swing arm, and halogen headlight rob away the premiumness. The bike features a rear drum brake with ABS sensor. However, on a positive note, the long swing arm with the skinny tyres will improve the bike’s agility.

When launched, the Pulsar N125 will command a premium over the regular high-selling Pulsar 125. Expect many features from N160 like distance-to-empty readout to be carried over to this bike.

It’s is to be noted that Bajaj is also gearing up to launch the CT125X and the bike has already arrived at dealerships. It might sit below the Pulsar 125 catering to the needs of the rural customers or those who simply want a rugged machine.
