Bajaj has launched CT125X in the Indian market, at a price of Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom). It’s a commuter motorcycle that is built to take on the rigours of everyday riding while being extremely
frugal when it comes to sipping fuel.

The design of the CT125X is similar to its smaller sibling, the CT110X. The round headlamp harks back to motorcycles from yesteryears, but with a modern looking cowl, LED DRLs and a sort of visor, it looks like it belongs in today’s day and age.

The feature list isn’t all that impressive as there are no connectivity options, but honestly, at this price point, it’s really a stretch. The headlamp is a halogen unit, and the turn indicators and tail lights also make do with bulbs. One little peace offering here is the USB charger on the handlebar,
so that your smartphone battery stays topped up all day long.

The engine is a 124.9cc unit that makes 10.8bhp and 11Nm. There is the option to spec a disc brake at the front, but the rear ca only be had with a drum brake. It’s available only in Ebony Black shade but Bajaj does allow one to customise it with the help of decals.

As far as potential rivals go, the CT125X will take on the Honda Shine, TVS Radeon, Hero Glamour and Honda SP125.
