The time has come for customers to witness the India-spec Toyota Innova Hycross as the company has finally unveiled the much-awaited car. The cost of the Toyota Innova Hycross will be made public in the future. We anticipate it will cost more than the Innova Crysta. The model will carry forward the third generation series of the Toyota Innova, which was launched 17 years ago in India.

Two powertrain options for the Innova Hycross will be made available- a petrol-only engine and a petrol-hybrid system. Both vehicles will only be available with automatic transmissions. The TNGA 2.0-litre gasoline engine will produce 171bhp and the 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine will generate 183bhp. It will make use of the 5th generation Hybrid system from Toyota. Self-charging hybrid technology will be present in the Toyota Innova Hycross. The Innova Hycross will be available in a total of five variants. The new model will have a monocoque platform and weigh 200kg less than the Innova Crysta. Additionally, it will be made available in 7-and 8-seat configurations.

The powerful hybrid engine in the Innova Hycross has a range of 1097 kilometres on a full tank of fuel, and a fuel efficiency of 21.1 km/l. It can go from 0-100km/h in 9.5 seconds.

The new Innonva Hycross has a more SUV-ish design which is apparent in the wider redesigned grille up front and sharper LED headlamps on either side. It gets18-inch wheels with a fresh design, and the front bumper has a tough appearance. The model has got new wraparound LED tail lights at the back.

The new model has arrived with a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 9-speaker JBL music system, powered ottoman seats in the second row, mood lighting, a powered tailgate, and others. It has got a black and chestnut brown colour on the inside.

In terms of size, the new model is larger than its predecessor. The Toyota Innova Hycross is 20mm wider and longer and comes with a 100mm longer wheelbase.

On the safety front, it boasts the Toyota Safety Sense suite of features. It has got ADAS and many more safety features including automatic high beams, lane change assistance, blind spot monitoring, six airbags, and an electronic parking brake, etc.
