The TVS Zeppelin concept debuted in the country at the 2018 Auto Expo. TVS has equipped the concept cruiser with a 220cc air-cooled motor, supplemented by an electric motor claimed to aid acceleration and conserve fuel as well. The engine produces 20PS and 18.5Nm, and transfers power to the rear wheel using a final belt drive. Expect the production version to be powered by a rebored version of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V’s engine, and it could feature a more conventional chain drive.
TVS Zeppelin concept underpinnings included a 41mm inverted fork (finished in gold) and a rear monoshock. The cruiser comes to a halt using a front disc with radial caliper and a rear disc.
The TVS Zeppelin concept got spoke wheels designed to be compatible with tubeless tyres for extra versatility, however, the production model could get alloys. Other notable features include an all-LED lighting system and an HD camera neatly integrated with the headlamp cowl. This is similar to a car’s dash cam and helps record your rides.
It will rival the likes of Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 and Keeway K-Light 250V.
