Honda CB650R and CBR650R cloned in China

Last month, we came across the Honda Rebel’s Chinese clone, and now, the Honda CB650R and the CBR650R have also been mocked. Chinese two-wheeler maker, Jiajue has launched a couple of models that mimic the Honda middleweights. Let’s take a look at both.

Left Front Three Quarter
The Jiajue CN800’s design has been heavily borrowed from the CB650R. It gets a round LED headlight with twin projector lights stacked at the center. The muscular tank with sharp shrouds and the overall butch streetfighter design is similar to the Honda bike. Meanwhile, the CNR800 copies the Honda CBR650R with its split LED headlights, bulbous fuel tank, and aggressive bodywork.

Jiajue has powered both bikes with an inline four-cylinder 796cc liquid-cooled motor. Its output is rated at 117bhp and 93Nm. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Chinese twins ride on golden-coloured USD front forks and a monoshock while the braking hardware comprises twin front and a single rear disc with ABS. Apart from LED illumination, the two bikes also get a TFT screen with basic layouts like a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and more.

Right Side View
Jiajue currently operates in China only and the asking price for the CN800 and CNR800 is set to CNY 30,000 (approximately Rs 3.60 lakh sans taxes) and CNY 40,000 (approximately Rs 4.80 lakh sans taxes). For reference, the Honda CB650 and CBR650R are priced at Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 9.35 lakh (both ex-showroom Haryana).
