Hero Splendor Plus Engine
The Hero Splendor Plus is powered by the reliable and frugal 97.2cc single-cylinder engine making 8PS and 8.05Nm, paired to a four-speed gearbox. It is underpinned by a double downtube cradle frame, and runs on a conventional telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers with preload adjustability. The Indian workhorse rolls on 18-inch wheels with 130mm drum brakes at both ends. Sadly, it misses out on a front disc brake even as an option. The Splendor Plus tips the scales at 112kg (kerb) and comes with a 9.8-litre fuel tank, and a 785mm tall seat.
Hero Splendor Plus Variants
The Hero Splendor Plus is available in standard variant priced at Rs 72,420, i3S Black & Accent at Rs 72,496, normal i3S at Rs 73,396 and the feature-packed Xtec variant with a price tag of Rs 75,840 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hero Splendor Plus Design
Despite multiple updates, the Hero Splendor Plus retains its simple yet iconic body design with no-nonsense styling and a bikini fairing paired with a rectangular headlight carried forward from its predecessors. Even the side panels are simple and the tail section features a sturdy-looking chromed out luggage rack. The Splendor Xtec variant looks slightly more modern and features a unique looking offset LED DRL.
Hero Splendor Plus Features
In terms of features, the Hero Splendor Xtec comes packed with segment-first features, including a fully digital instrument cluster. It comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and displays information like SMS and missed call alerts and real-time mileage. It also features two tripmeters, a low fuel indicator, side-stand engine cut-off, and a bank angle sensor which cuts off the engine in case the bike falls. Additionally, it gets Hero’s i3S stop-start technology which shuts off the engine when idle and turns it back on at the twist of the throttle, helping conserve fuel on traffic-ridden roads. Apart from all that, it also gets a combined braking system and an LED DRL.
