With both front and rear disc brakes, Ducati Diavel 1260 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Diavel 1260 bike weighs 249 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters.
The Diavel 1260 is Ducati’s second generation model of the power cruiser that now gets a bigger engine and many other updates over its predecessor. Its BS4 model was discontinued last year and the marginally revised BS6 derivative is now available in in India.
The ferocious-looking power cruiser design of the Diavel has been left untouched. With oodles of visual appeal and attention to detail, it is a true testimony to Italian’s design prowess. In the international markets, it’s available in standard and S variants both of which have come here as well. Besides the mechanical distinctions, both trims get different shades for their frame; while the standard gets black-coloured chassis, the S model sports a swanky red unit.
The revised 1262cc, L-twin, Testastretta engine now churns out 157.3bhp of power and 129Nm of peak torque. To keep this power in check, there’s a comprehensive electronics package comprising six-axis IMU with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and cruise control. It also gets full-LED lighting and a 3.5-inch TFT display. The S variant of the bike gets more premium Ohlins suspension and Brembo M50 monobloc callipers while it is also a bit lighter than the base model at 247kg.
The BS6 edition of the Ducati Diavel 1260 standard and S models are substantially more expensive than the BS4 counterparts with a price of Rs 18.49 lakh and Rs 21.49 lakh, respectively. The closest rival the Diavel has in India is the Triumph Rocket 3 R and GT.
