New X-Trail
Nissan had stated that it would likely release 3 new models including the new X-trail in the Indian market. The car has also been spotted testing in India on a few occasions. The X-trail is a car that the Indian buyers are familiar with as it was on sale here in the early 2000s. The all-new X-trail will feature an all-new design that involves the V-Motion grille and split headlamp set-up. The X-trail will come with several new features such as powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof, 3 zone air conditioning and more. The X-trail will come with three electrified powertrains – a 161 bhp mild-hybrid turbo-petrol, a more powerful 201 bhp e-Power strong hybrid and an all-wheel drive e-Power variant with 211 bhp on tap featuring a second electric motor powering the rear axle. The X-trail will rival the Jeep Meridian and the Toyota Fortuner when launched and will be priced between Rs. 40 -50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
