About Leoncino 500

Benelli Leoncino 500 is a bike available at a starting price of Rs. 6,57,407 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. The Benelli Leoncino 500 is powered by 500cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 46.8 bhp and a torque of 46 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Benelli Leoncino 500 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Leoncino 500 bike weighs 207 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12.7 liters.

Benelli India has launched the BS6-compliant Leoncino 500 in the Indian market. The changes to the BS6 model are limited to mechanical upgrades to comply with the new, more stringent emission norms.

Thus, the styling cues include a round headlight, dual-tone front fender with Lion of Pesaro motif, a rounded fuel tank, single-piece seat with tuck and roll design, and a rear fender mounted number plate. The motorcycle uses a 12.7-litre fuel tank and it tips the weighing scale at 207kg (kerb). The feature list includes full-LED lighting and a twin-pod LCD instrument cluster.

The cycle parts, too, are similar to the BS4 model, and the Benelli Leoncino 500 BS6 continues to use 50mm inverted telescopic front forks and a rebound and preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking duties are performed by dual 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm rotor at the back while the safety net is provided by a switchable, dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The BS6 model continues to use a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 46.8bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The power and torque output numbers are similar to the BS4 version.
